Clients

Atlas International & Associates welcomes you as a valued client. We are here to service your needs. As a California Based Collection agency Licensed & Bonded to collect in many states throughout the United States, and our Associates having the ability to collect in Europe, Canada and South America, we pride ourselves on our international diversity, experience and strength.

We are also licensed private investigators, which gives us a distinct advantage over our competition, it allows us access to certain data bases which regular collection agencies cannot access. We have also acquired contacts over the years that are unique and still serve us well today.

We will use our best efforts, abiding by our own strict rules and all the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act on Federal and State collection levels, to accomplish our primary goal of collecting your accounts receivable as quickly as possible.

Additionally, we will strive to accomplish this goal requiring the minimum possible expenditure of time on the part of your staff, and deal with your customers or patients professionally and justly. We will be highly responsive, adaptable, and flexible to your needs, and offer you attentive, personal service.

Atlas International & Associates depends on experienced, intelligent, motivated professional collectors to collect your overdue accounts. They are trained by American Collectors Association Certified Instructors to treat your customers or patients courteously and fairly. They also have been trained to act and collect with a private investigative approach, leaving no person capable of hiding for too long, and no assets unfound.

We are not a letter service with advance fees and we offer a full range of collection services. Our contingency fees are based on account criteria including average balance, age, type debt, etc. and are competitive within the industry.

We rely on your continued satisfaction with our services by not requiring a contract; however, a contract will be provided upon request.

The following is an explanation of our collection services to provide you and your staff with an understanding of how Atlas International & Associates works to collect your overdue accounts.

Account Information

Efficient collection of your accounts is facilitated when you provide us with accurate data on your customer or patient debtors, correct spelling, current addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, employment information references, and other pertinent information from your files. Total balances owed, charges, payments, itemized bills, copy of contracts, and associated dates should be clearly understandable and legible.

Initial Procedure

Debtors entered into database: Debtor data, including most recent address, phone numbers, your account number (if required) dates of service, date of last pay, social security number, and remarks are entered into our data base.

First notice sent: A first notice with return envelope is sent via first class mail as soon as possible after receipt of the account. It contains the state and federal regulatory legal requirements for first contact.

Acknowledgement letter to client: An acknowledgment letter listing the debtor’s name, account number, date assigned and balance owed is provided to you.

Collection Procedures

Collectors attempt telephone contact: The collector assigned to an account attempts to contact the debtor by telephone immediately to collect payment in full.

Follow-up collection letters: Various additional collection letters are available and will be sent by the collector. The Type of letter sent is based on the collector’s telephone contact and evaluation of the debtor’s response.

Skip tracing: When a debtor cannot be located by various internal skip tracing methods, the debtor is classified as a “skip.” We then go on to use our private investigation license to open doors that hold a wealth of information. We revisit the skip accounts every three months so that when that debtor applies for additional credit, registers his car, get as traffic ticket, and we rerun our Skip tracing methods we can locate the debtor and continue the collection process.

Debtor Payments

Payments made to our office: The majority of payments are made to our office and deposited in our trust account.

Payments made to clients: Debtors will frequently send payments to you after being contacted by us. These payments are known as “direct payments”. There are two basic ways to handle these payments:

1. You may forward the payment to us, and it will be recorded as if it had been paid to us.

2. You may choose to report the payment to us and deposit it. It is very important that you notify our office when you receive direct payments, so that we can update our records, cease further collection efforts and report the payments to the credit agencies.

Overpayments: When we receive overpayments on an account, the overpayment is returned to the debtor.

Reports to Clients

Statements: Statements are mailed to clients each month. For each debtor with account activity, the statement indicates the debtor’s name, account number, amount paid to us and direct payment to you. A summary of the statement will indicate the amount of our check due you or commissions due us, as applicable.

Checks: Our check for the amount due you will be enclosed with your statement.

Clients payment to us: If payment made to your office significantly exceed payments received by us, you will be billed for the collection fee due us on your monthly statement. Prompt payment is appreciated, both as a courtesy, and to eliminate complicated billing credits on future statements.
